MAHARATHI, a Shivam Nair directed film which is all set for release this Friday, is about a man (Naseeruddin Shah) who shoots himself after throwing a challenge to his wife (Neha Dhupia) to make his death sound like a murder and then go on to benefit from insurance.

“Maharathi” is based on Paresh Rawal’s Gujarati play of the same name. The play, a thriller, has been running for the last 21 years and has already had 700 shows so far.

RAZZ 2 is certainly not the sequel of Raaz is what is all said about the movie. Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt are desperately trying to clear the rumour that Raaz-The Mystery Continues is a sequel to the Dino Morea-Bipasha Basu hit, Raaz. They claim that the film has its own conception and has nothing to do with Raaz.

While the mystery is continuing in production and on celluloid, there is one major clue that has been solved. Yes, the date for the theatrical release of the next blockbuster thriller from Bollywood, RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES is now no more a secret. This spine chilling movie from Vishesh Films is going to hit worldwide screens on 23rd January 2009.
