Is Wanted destined to fail at the box office? Because everyone can see from the Wanted movie trailer that this is not a comic book adaptation - I don’t care who you are, if you like it or if you hate it - this movie is not a live-action version of the graphic novel.
It looks like a good movie: big name stars (Angeline Jolie specifically), action, guns, fast cars, and good writing. I think it will do well and I think it will be entertaining. But from what it looks like, this is just another action flick and is not a comic book adaptation in the truest sense.
It won’t fail on a profitability level or from the perspective of being a good movie, but it will fail in the eyes of Wanted purists everywhere.
