After director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra wowed us with Rang De Basanti two years ago, he’s back with Delhi-6, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor.
The title is inspired from the pin code of an area in Delhi, where the story is based. This area houses the historical Jama Masjid and Red Fort. The movie is reportedly based on Mehra’s growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. The film will be Mehra’s third directorial venture after critically acclaimed Aks and the immensely successful Rang De Basanti, which was India’s official entry to the Oscars.
The Bollywood star can also be seen on the latest cover issue of Filmfare magazine. Abhishek Bachchan is on the cover and gives an interview to promote his latest flick, Drona.
Dostana is a forthcoming Bollywood film starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. It is directed by Karan Johar’s assistant, Tarun Mansukhani. The film began filming in Miami, Florida in March 2008, and is the first Bollywood film to be set entirely in Miami.
Finally, the wallpapers of Dostana produced under Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions and directed by Tarun Mansukhani was unveiled. Dostana is all set for a November 14th release.
Drona, for starters, stars Abhishek Bachchan in the most breath taking role of a lifetime, along with his on-screen lady love Priyanka Chopra. The film is directed by Goldie Behl.
